Exploring Printmaking

One winter weekend in St Ives, I took part in a basic linocut session with Erin Lacy at The Sloop workshops, which was my first experiment with print making. Subsequently I’ve been doing some mono-print work as part of my Developing On course at St Ives, on-line with Liz Hough.

This has added to my range – and I’m now ready to start combining these print techniques with my painting, and with the existing use I make of stencil and aerosol, and photo transfer work.

I’m not “satisfied” with any of the prints as “finished work” – and they’re not finished. They’re all essays in the craft as I explore how I can bring some of these ideas into my approach to being in, and representing, “place”.
